Spaces available for rental in The Blanton's Michener Gallery Building or Smith Building include:

This dramatic space with its soaring 50-foot ceiling and spectacular skylights serves as the centerpiece of the museum. Whether you wish to host a black-tie dinner or a grand reception, the Rapoport Atrium will make a lasting impression on every attendee. Rental of this space includes access to galleries on the first floor of the Michener Gallery Building except during exhibition installation.

In addition to the Rapoport Atrium, the Michener Gallery Building includes a large mezzanine overlooking the main floor space. The Mezzanine is a perfect location for pre-event cocktails or an exclusive lounge. In addition, the galleries on the second floor display an impressive variety of art sure to engage and delight all who attend your event.

The Huntington Gallery provides a stunning setting for wedding ceremonies. Soaring ceilings with natural light, glossy wood floors, and contemporary artwork by internationally known artists make this ceremony space a one-of-a-kind location.

The Long Grand Foyer in the Smith Building is ideally suited to private evening receptions up to 200 guests, or intimate seated dinners under 80.

The Mezzanine in the Smith Building is ideal for use as a reception space in conjunction with an auditorium program. It features beautiful views of the Faulkner Plaza and the Michener Gallery Building.

The Blanton Auditorium in the Smith Building may be privately rented for special speaker engagements, panel presentations, and film screenings. No food or beverage permitted inside auditorium. The auditorium comes equipped with A/V capabilities with rear digital projection, film screen, and built in seats with tablet arms.

The Capitol Room in the Smith Building features prominent views of the Texas State Capitol Building and is ideally suited as a conference room, lecture hall or private reception space. The room comes equipped with A/V capabilities, a digital projector, moveable chairs with tablet arms, a whiteboard and carpeted flooring. In-house catering is available.

The Meadows Classroom in the Smith Building is suited for small group meetings, seminars, classes, or retreats during regular business hours. The room comes equipped with A/V capabilities, moveable tables and chairs, a whiteboard and vinyl flooring. The Meadows Classroom is available Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM only.
In-house catering is available.

The Blanton provides a list of approved caterers who have extensive experience working with the museum’s facilities and procedures. Our experienced Special Events staff can also recommend other vendors from our preferred list, to help you create an unforgettable event.
