Desire Public Programs
Programs are free to members or are included with admission, unless noted. Thursdays are FREE at the Blanton, and the museum is open until 9pm on the Third Thursday of the month.
Interactive Feature
mappingDESIRE, an interactive web-based counterpart to the exhibition, is organized by a group of students from UT’s Department of Theatre and Dance in the College of Fine Arts and the Department of Computer Science. The group surveyed numerous students at multiple locations across campus on the concept of “desire.” All recorded responses have been uploaded to an interactive website, and can be accessed by site users. Visitors will also be able to comment on, and upload their own stories of desire.
From April 15 through the closing of Desire on April 25, be sure to check the mappingDESIRE web site for new audio content! The site will relaunch daily featuring new stories by students on the concept of desire.
